Today is the 3^rd and last day of the training,We real get to accomplish our goal  very well.Through these three days we learn a lot about internet and how it works especial in journalism field.

As tutors the training sharpen our knowledge on how to simply searching a specific document or news with no need of using a lot of time by using specific engine Example:Google scholar,books news and images.

After that we do learn the plagiarism and copyright which will help us as journalism expertise as well as our students who will get the knowledge from us.

Also this knowledge will make us finding a lot of information for few time which will also induce to our students in our specific colleges. I believe what we get will benefit our students with theirs studies and their career.

Apart from training we also get along with each other and make networking as well as share different experiences concerning journalism studies and journalism career.The training modality was impressing it makes the trainee like  to learn more and not filling tired.

How ever the power and network disappoint us very much and we don’t like the poor preparation done to the venue there was no immediate alternative which lead to the wastage of time with no reason.

Although there are those challenges but we manage to solve the problems and the training continue and well and good today is the last day,thanks to the Vikes and Misa Tanzania for this training.

Talking about good and proudly African celebrities Kansiime Kubiryaba Anne also known as Anne Kansiime will never miss to the list because she is useful and never made a mistake when it comes to the point of comedy.

Social media made Kansiime’s journey very easier and succeeded abruptly” I began posting some of my comedy video on YouTube, people received it positively and encouraged me to post more videos” she said

Also the social media made her getting contract to the citizen TV to produce and air “Don’t mess with Kansiime” comedy show. The show give her more credit to her you tube account whereby she got a lot of viewers in and outside Africa.

Kansiime was born in 13 April 1987 is a Ugandan entertainer, comedienne, and actress. She began to participate in drama skits acted by different groups like the theatre group Theatre Factory, who Theatre Fun and they were broadcast on NTV Uganda.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Arts from Makerere Unuversity She is married to Gerald Ojok,

DAY TWO

Today as the second day of our training we continue with our studies .As usual our big challenge is power cut, despite the challenge we enjoy the class as we learn how to search by using different search engine example Google

When you search the following are the tips

1. Think first,

• what are you searching            
• Should you use Google or other website
•  Why are you using the particular website or search engine
• Will you find it from the web

2. Choose right search word

     Example: Form four results

3. Try different search engine

     Example: Necta and tanzania today

                     

WE MADE IT

We manage to learn the desired topic of the day where by our facilitator Mr Peik Johansson try for his level best to teach what we supposed to be taught in spite of network and power challenges.

Although it was the first day but we enjoy the class to the most because we manage to know each other as there is a lot of participant from different colleges like DSJ ,TSJ, RCT and RAIDA.

We learn a lot about the Internet and the society but we also learn on how to create blog whereby we learn design,settings time and language,statistics,post,edit and delete.

We also learn how to bookmark Example by using google chrome you open the site like www.vikes.fi then at the toolbar you click the star icon, it give the option of edit,remove and done, you click done then you click menu at right side of toolbar yo will see your bookmark,

Journalist training

My name is Lilian Nyingisye,  B.A in Mass Communication holder and a journalist   by profession. I am currently a tutor at Dar es Salaam school of journalism

I am on Internet training for journalism lecturers which is held at  Dar es salaam school of journalism by VIKES and MISA Tanzania for 3 days from 14- 16 September 2015.

The training will help my carrier in aspect of social, economic as well as political. It   will help in fact findings, point of reference and library. Also, it will help the tutors for buying books, pamphlet and other materials.

However the training will sharpen my knowledge concerning business in Internet.
